I’m a freelance medical writer specializing in cardiometabolic disease, obesity, and endocrinology. Based in Lisbon, I work with pharma medical affairs teams, biotechs, and medcomms agencies across Europe and the US.
Over five years writing for clinical and scientific audiences, I’ve covered the therapy areas defining modern renal, cardiometabolic and endocrine care.
Recent project: a Phase 3 DELIVER trial Medical Affairs review (dapagliflozin in heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction) produced for Scientific Communications team.
My focus is on scientific deliverables that support Medical Affairs strategy, HCP education, and publications — Medical Affairs decks, advisory board summaries, congress coverage, scientific platforms, manuscript drafts, KOL-driven features, and mechanism-of-action narratives. I work closely with medical affairs, clinical, and scientific teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with strategic communication goals.
Therapy area depth
GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptor agonists (semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, survodutide, orforglipron); SGLT2 inhibitors (dapagliflozin, empagliflozin); MASH pharmacotherapy (FGF21 analogs, THR-β agonists, pan-PPAR agonists); heart failure with preserved and mildly reduced ejection fraction; type 2 diabetes; obesity; and broader endocrine and metabolic conditions. I also have working familiarity with adjacent areas including nephrology and rheumatology where they intersect with cardiometabolic care.
KOL interviews and congress coverage
I’ve conducted interviews and evidence synthesis with academic specialists at Stanford School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Yale Medical School hospital network, NYU Langone, UC Cincinnati, Ohio State, Beth Israel Deaconess, and Providence Swedish. Conference coverage from ADA, AACE, ASN Kidney Week, and ENDO.
